Nile Love stands as not just a friend but a paragon of resilience and tenacity in my life. Our bond, forged through our shared competitive spirits and mutual love for track and field, reached its peak in high school as we both aspired to carve out futures in college sports. However, the cruel blow of COVID-19 snatched away our senior sport seasons, leaving our dreams shattered.

While I navigated through the aftermath, discovering new passions to channel my competitive drive, Nile exhibited a level of unwavering determination that left me in awe. Refusing to succumb to the setbacks, he emerged stronger, securing a spot on Hofstra University's D1 track team as a walk-on. Fast forward a year, and Nile has not only set school records but has soared to heights we once envisioned together in high school, earning a place in conference championships.
